Post #bombcyclone tree work throughout South #vanisle and #gulfislands kept our crew busy today, along with #bchydro and Tree Services.
Last night and early morning high winds ripped through Service Area One causing substantial tree fall, downed lines and power outages. Clean-up work on #bchwy14, the PMR and the community of East Sooke were the main activity with more work continuing through the week.
We remind everyone to always assume that a downed, sagging, low-hanging or damaged power line is live and to remain 10 m or 33' away.
