Full Time Labourer

 FULL-TIME LABOURER POSITION

 Emcon Services Inc., a distinguished Canadian company with a proven track record of over 30 years as an interprovincial Road and Bridge Maintenance Contractor, is offering an exciting opportunity. We're looking for a motivated individual to join Emcon workshop as a labourer at our workshop in Merritt, BC.

 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the general direction of the supervisor, designate, to perform all aspects of a labourer. These include but are not limited to:

• Working in clean production build environment up-fitting and assembling new Plow Trucks.
• Lifting and bending. Working in multiple positions.
• Use of hand and power tools including jacks and overhead cranes.
• Assembling and installing components, attachments and hydraulic and wiring systems.
• Team work and independent work situations.
• Following instruction and plans to build consistent and high quality results on production schedule.
• Regular Monday to Friday shifts with potential of overtime dependent on work loads and deadlines.

 QUALIFICTIONS

• Preferably Grade 12 education
• Knowledge/skills in the field of Mechanics preferable
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• The ability to work with other employees and to take specific direction and instructions from supervisor and/or other qualified employees they are assigned to work.
• Physically fit and able to perform heavy physical labour
• Good knowledge of safety regulations, policies and procedures.
• Positive safety record
