Ontario Contract AREAS

Emcon Dryden / Kenora division has been operating since September of 2015. We proudly serve the highways and roads in the Kenora and Rainy River Districts on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation. Our area consists of approx. 1,600 lane kilometres of Highways, 1,000 lane kilometers of Local Roads Board roads, and 100 lane kilometres of NORT road. We operate out of 12 patrol yards and in several communities within our contract area which include; Dryden, Kenora, Vermillion Bay, Ear Falls, Red Lake, Kenora, Nestor Falls, Rainy River, Bergland, Nickel Lake. Our head office is located in Dryden Ontario and consists of a corporate office a full welding shop as well as a brand new 4 bay mechanical facility that was just built fall of 2017. Our fleet consists of 43 plow trucks with 2 tow plows operating in the winter to help keep our roads safe, along with approximately 60+ support units consisting of Graders, Loaders, ½ Tons, 2 Tons, a Low bed, Anti Icing unit, Mowers, Crushing equipment and more. All of our experienced and professional staff are local and are committed to providing quality service as well as keeping our roads safe year round for everyone, including our families that travel them every day. Emcon Services Inc has been proudly serving Ontario road users since 2015. From our first contract, to operate and maintain the Kenora MTO Contract, we have grown significantly and now operate across 9 MTO Maintenance Contracts and 3 Municipal Winter Services Contracts along with various smaller contracts supporting townships across Ontario. In total we maintain over 8300, 2 Lane equivalent kilometers across the province.

In addition to our regular Roads Maintenance activities we also operate an Electrical Division, providing maintenance, repair and improvement works across our clients electrical infrastructure.

Chatham:

The Chatham Area Maintenance Contract delivers road and bridges maintenance and repair to the MTO’s assets. It is our most southerly contract and covers 764 equivalent 2 Lane kilometers of provincial highways across the Municipalities of Chatham-Kent, Essex and Lambton.

London:

The London Area Maintenance Contract is headquartered in Kitchener, Ontario and spans 1245 equivalent 2 Lane kilometers of provincial highways across the Municipalities of Elgin, Middlesex, Oxford, Norfolk, Haldimand, Brant, Waterloo and Wellington. In the London AMC we also maintain and operate the Port Dover Lift Bridge.

Peel West:

Our Peel West Maintenance Contract covers some the busiest highway infrastructure in North America, including Highway 401. In addition to our regular maintenance activities we provide dedicated Emergency Response Teams.  These teams typically respond to over 7000 incidents per year, providing traffic control and infrastructure repairs to keep the travelling public safe and the highways moving. Whilst geographically small (688 Equivalent 2 Lane kilometers of provincial highways) this contract has the largest winter fleet in the Province, with over 80 plows and salters being put into action during a winter weather event.

Bancroft and Kingston West:

The Kingston West Area Maintenance Contract covers the north shore of Lake Ontario through the regions of Northumberland, Hastings, Lennox and Addington. It also includes the picturesque Prince Edward County.

It’s partner contract, the Bancroft Area Maintenance Contract includes provincial highways through the City of Kawartha Lakes and the regions of Peterborough, Hastings, Lennox and Addington, and Renfrew.

In total they include 1609 Equivalent 2 Lane kilometres of provincial highways.

Emcon Sudbury Division has been operating since September of 2018. We proudly serve the highways and roads in the Sudbury area Districts on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation. Our area consists of approx. 1,400 lane kilometres of Highways. We operate out of 12 patrol yards and in several communities within our contract area which include Greater Sudbury area, along with Britt, Cartier, MaKerrow, Walford, Elliot Lake, Little Current, Gore Bay, Mindemoya . Our head office is located in Lively Ontario and consists of a corporate office welding faclity as well as a brand new 4 bay mechanical facility that was just built in 2018. Our fleet consists of 48 plow trucks with 6 tow plows operating in the winter to help keep our roads safe, along with approximately 60+ support units consisting of Graders, Loaders, ½ Tons, 2 Tons, a Low bed, Anti Icing unit, Mowers, Crushing equipment and more. All of our experienced and professional staff are local and are committed to providing quality service as well as keeping our roads safe year round for everyone, including our families that travel them every day. Emcon Thunder Bay division has been operating since September of 2018. We proudly serve the highways and roads in the Thunder Bay District on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation. Our area consists of approx. 1,100 equivalent 2-lane kilometers of Highways. We operate out of 10 patrol yards and in several communities within our contract area which include; Thunder Bay, Armstrong, Blake, Pearl, Nipigon, Beardmore, Geraldton, Longlac. Our head office is located in Thunder Bay Ontario, at 1220 Commerce Street. Our fleet consists of 36 plow/spreader trucks with 7 tow plows operating in the winter to help keep our roads safe, along with approximately 60+ support units consisting of Graders, Loaders, Excavator, Mowers, ½ Tons, 2 Tons, and more. All of our experienced and professional staff are local and are committed to providing quality service as well as keeping our roads safe year round for everyone, including our families that travel them every day.
